Hall of Fame

 

Mr. Machado is now the Executive Director of the Oahu Bowling Association.  He has been in this position since August 2000.  Prior to this job he was the General Manager of the Kane’ohe Marine Corp Bowling Center @ Marine Corp Base Hawaii.  He has been the Secretary/Treasurer of the Tuesday Night Ohana Mixed League for 40 years.  He ran a youth bowling program at Windward Bowl.  Called the Royal Menehune 17 years.  He made several trips to California with the youth program and for 15 years took all 200 bowlers to participate in the Hilo Hawaii Thanksgiving Tournament.  Mr. Machado has worked with the Hawaii Special Olympics bowling program for 15 years.

                  

His achievements include the following:

·        Attended the American Bowling Congress Convention for 29 years.

·        Participated in the ABC Annual Bowling Tournament for the last 26 years.

·        President of the Oahu Bowling Association from September 1, 1986 thru July 31, 1987.

·        President of the Hawaii State Bowling Association.

·        Young American Bowling Alliance Hawaii State Coordinator from August 6, 1990 to today.

·        American Bowling Congress (ABC) Jurisdictional Associate 2000 to 2003.

·        ABC Director for the State of Hawaii 2004.

·        Oahu Bowling Association Director for 30 years.

·        President of the Exchange Club Kane’ohe for 10 years.

·        Chairman of the Windward Hoolaulea 2002 to 2003.

·        Chairman of the Kahaluu Neighborhood Board 2003 to 2004.

·        Chairman of the Kane’ohe Christmas Parade 1978 through 2003.

 

For all the positions that Mr. Machado has held in bowling and for his willingness and enthusiasm to help anyone in bowling, you can see that this is his life.  Working with the special Olympic bowlers is one of his biggest loves & passions.  Mr. Machado is also very active in his own community as chairperson for the Kahaluu Neighborhood Board and Chairperson for the largest Christmas Parade in the State of Hawaii, the Kane’ohe Christmas Parade.  Along with all that he has done for bowling, it’s time he is recognized for all the accomplishments both in bowling & his community.
