Hall of Fame 2002 Scot Mitamura Mr. Mitamura was born
December 1958 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He started bowling at the age of 13 at
Pali Lanes. He graduated from Kailua
High School were he lettered in bowling for four years & was named MVP in
1976 his senior year. Graduated in
1981 from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Science in
Horticulture. Married his lovely wife
Karen in 1982. Scot
has been a Professional Bowling Association member for 19 years with one
Regional Title at Leeward Bowl in 1989. He
has six 300 games: 1. Reno Nevada at the ABC
National Bowling Stadium. 2. Oakridge Lanes, San
Jose, JANBA Tournament. 3. Windward Bowl (2) 4. Waialae Bowl (2) Scot also has four 800
series with the highest of 832 shot at K-Bay Lanes. Other 800 games bowled at Aiea Bowl, Showboat Lanes in Las
Vegas and Santa Anita Lanes, California (PBA Regional Invitational
Tournament)

His commitment and determination
to bowling have made him the Tournament Director for Hawaii TV Bowling since
1996. His thirteen titles include him
in the Hawaii TV Bowling Hall of Fame and he has been the Hawaii TV Bowler of
the Year, four consecutive times - (1991, 1992, 1993 & 1994). Some
of Scots accomplishments won throughout his bowling career are: · Hawaii State All Events Scratch Champion
at MAK Bowl (1988) · American Japanese Association Senior
League Awards at Waialae Bowl - High Average Awards, 1988-202, 1989-211 (tied
all time high since 1961); 1991-207; 1992-202; 1993-210;l 1994-208, (most
consecutive 4 time); and 2001-214, 20002 - 212 (most high average averages, 8
times). Most 300 games in one season
2 times (1991) · Represented Hawaii in the 1989 American
Bowling Congress Masters Tournament in Witchita Kansas finishing 13th.
place (personal high finish in a National Tournament). · Japanese American National Bowling
Association Team Champion at Hilo Lanes, Team Azumi (1989). · Hawaii TV Bowling Hall of Fame (10
Titles or more). With the most times
bowling on TV 75 times. · Thirteen Hawaii TV Bowling Titles from
1990 through 2002. · Hawaii TV Bowling, Bowler of the Year 4
times -- 1991, 1992, 1993 & 1994. · Hawaii’s Richest Bowling Tournament
Champion (Schofield Bowl, 1993) · Hawaii TV Bowling Tournament of
Champions winner at Barbers Point Bowling Center. · Oahu Bowling Association Team Event
Scratch Champion at Aiea Bowl (2001). Match play victories against PBA Champions: Walter Ray Williams Jr.,
Pete Weber (ABC Masters), David Ozio; Joe Firpo; Butch Soper; Bob
Chamberlain, Paeng Nepumecino (top Philippine National Athlete &
International Bowling Star), Michael Hagen Jr. Dennis Horan and Tony Reyes. One of four bowlers intentionally to be on staff for Lane #1, Buzzsaw
Bowling Balls & accessories.
Involved with testing new bowling equipment. Won 18 sanctioned titles in ten different
bowling establishments from 1988 to 2002. they include: Aiea bowl; Barbers
Point Bowling Center, 2; Hickam Bowling Center, 2; Hilo Lanes; K-Bay Lanes,
2; Leeward Bowl, 3; MAK Bowl; Pali Lanes, 3; Schofield Bowling Center, 2; and
Stadium Bowl-O-Drome. |
