Mr. Ernest Tavares

 

Mr. Ernest Tavares is being honored to be the 48th person to be inducted into the Oahu Bowling Association Hall of Fame.  ET as many know him, has been active in the bowling community since 1967.  ET’s accomplishments are many and have influenced many.

 

·        1983 joined (drafted to be an Oahu Bowling Association Director).

·        Only member of the Oahu Bowling Association to hold the office of president twice 1991 to 1992 and 2000 to 2001.

·        President of the Hawaii State Bowling Association 1995.

·        Bowled an 1800 series at the ABC Tournament in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1993.

·        Bowled a 700 Series in the ABC Tournament in Toledo, Ohio in 1991.

·        Has various impressive achievements with two 298 games, one 299 game and one 300 game.

 

Although ET feels he is too young to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.  He deserves this recognition regardless of what he thinks.
